Early last week the owner of that self-same VW Passat received a phone-call from the Boys In Blue.

The car had been spotted out in Bray so they checked out the reg number and then followed it. 4 young lads jumped out of the car and ran off as fast as they could; the Gardaí impounded the car and brought it in for forensic examination etc.

As it turns out the car is fine after its ordeal and making its way back to the owner (thankfully!).

There is the matter of 7 missing election posters tho…Keep the eyes peeled for “Ó Muirí” election posters in Bray.

And they all lived happily ever after…
