Q106.  COUNCILLOR NAOISE O’MUIRI

Can the Manager outline the costs of the road-widening being undertaken at the Howth Rd/Brookwood Avenue/Sybill Hill junction? Can the Manager outline (a) start date and (b) completion date for the works specifically at this junction.

CITY MANAGER’S REPLY:

The contract costs are not yet fully finalised but we estimate them to be in the       order of €600,000 (excluding VAT).

The commencement date for the contract was 19th October 2009.  There were additional works required which extended the duration of the contract.

We anticipate that substantial completion will now be approximately week ending, 16th July 2010.
