From a Water Supply presentation given by Brian Smyth at the Environment Strategic Policy Committee at DCC today:
- Average 2010 demand for treated water in the Region is 555 million litres a day
- Average storage of raw (untreated) water in 2010 is 196 days worth of water
- Average storage of treated water in 2010 is 36 hours worth (interestingly enough, there is a target to get this down to 24 hours)
- Average unaccounted water for 2009 is 36.5% for Dublin
- Average unaccounted water for June 2010 is 38.8% for Dublin
