Ó Muirí Welcomes Open Doors at Marino Library

Fine Gael Cllr. Naoise Ó Muirí has today (Wednesday) welcomed the decision made by the public sector trade unions to reverse the current work-to-rule restrictions and re-open the doors of Marino public library.

“After months of intensive lobbying on behalf of the local residents, it was a great spectacle to witness the doors of Marino library finally open last Friday, June 18th. After six months of closure, this valued public facility can now be enjoyed by all members of the community, parents with children will be glad to use it over the summer break period and Marino’s older residents will once again be able to use the library as a meeting point for social outings.”

Minor refurbishment has also been carried out in the library with more scheduled and timetabled for completion by December 2010.
