Burst Watermain Final Update – Sat 07/06, 6pm

The repair works on the watermain at Marrowbone Lane have now been completed.  Recharging the network with water has commenced and normal supply should be restored to all areas over the course of the evening.

For those areas still experiencing problems tankers will continue in operation until 7.00pm this evening and will be located in the following areas.

• ‘Swiss Cottage’ pub, Swords Road (at the junction of School house  Lane)

• Beaumont House Pub, Beaumont Road (at junction of Beaumont  Grove)

• Car Park of ‘Our Lady of Victories’ Church, Ballymun Road.

As a result of the use of alternative water supply routes to maintain supplies, many areas may be experiencing discoloured water.  This is a temporary problem only and will clear as the situation returns to normal.

South Earl Street still remains closed to traffic; however Marrowbone Lane, Thomas Court, and School Street have reopened. The City Council is still asking motorists to continue to avoid the area if possible due to the completion of the repair works.

We would again urge customers to be conservative in their use of water at all times and particularly during events such as this one.
